the foreword to this book contained (from my memory) something on the order of, "all characters are fictional, they simply strolled out of my mind." I have long since gave this book away, can anyone send me the complete foreword?? Thanks!

Author's Note:
Although some of the events and places depicted in this novel bear a similarity to those in my own life, the characters all strolled out of my imagination. My wife Anne, for example, does not in the least resemble Andre Parent's spouse. As Evelyn Waugh wrote in a similar context, I am not I: thou art not he or she: they are not they.
P.T.
Does that help? Interesting question, by the way. |

| I am vintner who makes wine in Napa and have a new blend which I am naming after all my past girlfriends! Will change the name of the wine each year and allude to a previous relationship, first will be called, "The Devious Woman" and I wanted to somehow explain the reason for the names which will follow. I thought something on the order of what PT used in that foreword could be massaged to explain my names... |

| This is wine that you can buy at the grocery store? Or you just make it for your own consumption? Either way it sounds like a cool idea. I'd like to try a bottle...... |
